Itinerary

Day 1 :
HABARANA
Arrival. Meet and greet by our representative at the airport and transfer to Habarana. En route visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Check in at your hotel in Habarana for overnight stay
Day 2 :
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Sigiriya – the Rock Fortress [a World Heritage Site] Sigiriya, a 183 m rocky outcrop was built by King Kasiappa (473 - 491 AD). Ancient glory dazzles at Sigiriya, stu rock-fortress citadel of a fugitive king, where the history merges with melodrama. Some theories affirm that Si Buddhist Monastery, or that it was both citadel and hermitage at different times. While Sigiriya keeps some of it much else to fill them with wonder. The 10 ft tall and 93 meter long Mirror Wall still glistens with it’s 5th cent majestic Lion’s Paw picturesquely guards the stairway to the palace on the summit. A gallery of frescos of shape still glows with vibrant colour and the Water Gardens are unequalled anywhere on earth. Broad, 3 km long grani ramparts, stone and brick walls and boulder-catapults defended the citadel, even if only for a brief 18 years. Evening enjoy an Elephant Back Safari in the local village area. Day 3 :
KANDY
After breakfast proceed to Kandy. En route visit Dambulla Rock Temple [a World Heritage Site] Dambulla Cave Temple - Dating back to the 1st century BC, this 500 foot rock mass consists of a series of cav into shrines with numerous life size images of the Buddha and other Gods. The complex of five caves with o sq.mtrs of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. The most impressive is long statue of the Buddha. Visit a Spice Garden in Matale during your transfer to Kandy. Check in at your hotel in Kandy. Afternoon at leisure. In the late evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.
Day 4 :
KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast do a city tour of Kandy - the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. The name Kandy conjures visions of a storied past, splendour, legend, folklore, mystery and traditions lovingly years. Visit a Gem museum and a lapidary. Also, visit the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, which was originally the Royalty. Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this garden and it is encircled by the Mahaweli River. Check out from your hotel. Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya, enroute visiting a Tea Plantation and a Factory. [please do note that a traveller might require soft warm cloths as the temperature may vary from 7 – 16 Celsius] Located over 6,800 feet above sea level, Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lankan hill country. Day 5 :
NUWARA ELIYA/COLOMBO
After breakfast proceed to Colombo via Kitulgala where the famous “Bridge on the River Kwai” film was made. En observe the two Water Falls, Devon and St. Clare’s. Check in at your hotel in Colombo for overnight stay.
Day 6 :
COLOMBO
Breakfast at the hotel. Colombo sight seeing and shopping tour. City tour of Colombo covers the old Parliament, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike International Conference Hall), A Hindu Kovil, a Buddhist Temple, Observing the Galle Face Green and visit For Shopping is never an end in Colombo - visit House of Fashions, Majestic City shopping complex, ODEL Unlimit Boutique, Noritake Ceramic Showroom, Barefoot Gallery and Lakmedura Handicraft Centre. Thereafter proceed to airport for departure.
