Itinerary
After lunch at a local restaurant in Arusha depart for Lake Manyara arriving at the lodge in the early evening. The lodges are situated on the Mto-wa-Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the soda Lake Manyara.
Meals and overnight at a lodge/camp in Manyara (LD
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. This park is famous for its tree climbing lions and vast flocks of flamingoes. Return from the game drive in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch depart for Ngorongoro Crater arriving in the early evening.
Meals and overnight at a lodge/camp in Ngorongoro (BLD)
After breakfast at the lodge proceed on a half-day crater tour with picnic lunch. In the crater, which is considered the “Eighth wonder of the world” you can see a spectacular concentration of wildlife including the big five. The crater has a variety of habitats including grassland, forest and swamp. The lake on the crater floor is home to flamingoes and many other species of birds. Return to the lodge in the early evening.
